Parkeerbonnen presents a free download: Monopoly For Windows! Finally it's available in English! Trade with other players, build houses, and collect money from the Jackpot when you land on Free Parking... or not, because you decide if any "house rules" are applied. The game is supplied entirely free of charge. It is supplied "as is" and the maker is not responsible for any damage to your computer. You may copy it as much if you like, as long as you don't change anything or use it for commercial purposes! As there are undoubtably still some bugs in this program, don't hesitate to mail me if something goes wrong (but see the FAQ page first). The game has the following features: * Decide on the number of players (2 to 6) and which players are played by the computer. * Trade: one of the most complicated aspects of Monopoly, but I think I found an acceptable way of adapting it to computer play. * House rules: you can decide whether there is a Jackpot, if interest is to be paid on mortgages, whether you get double salary when landing on Go, and much more. * Different versions: you can choose whether you want to play the British (Park Lane, Mayfair...) or American version (Park Place, Boardwalk...). And what is more, you can create your OWN version with your OWN street names by means of a simple tool within the game. * Save games and continue playing later. * All sorts of features to help you keep track of everything that is going on in the complicated game of Monopoly: the properties are displayed on the game board, you can view the statistics at any time, the game speed can be adjusted (either very slow or very quick) and a lot more. * Sounds: you can hear the whole game come to life... * Language choice. At the moment, English and Dutch are the only languages that you can choose from, but I'd be very happy if someone would offer to translate it into French, German, Italian, Romanian, Welsh or any other language. Simply mail me and I'll provide you with an excel file containing all phrases to be translated. If you have any trouble playing Monopoly, see the FAQ page to solve your problems.
